An original story about a small cloud who finds out what makes a rainbow.

Proposed lesson: awaiting the owner’s approval before launch.

3 Read the Story

High above a little town lived a little white cloud called Pip.

The other clouds were big and grey, and they could make rain. Pip was small and soft, and Pip could not make rain at all.

“I wish I could help the flowers,” said Pip. “They look so thirsty.”

One morning, Pip floated and floated until Pip met a big grey cloud. “Can I travel with you?” asked Pip. “Of course,” said the big cloud.

Together they drifted over the town, and soon, pitter-patter, the rain began to fall. The flowers drank and drank.

Then the sun came out and shone through the last raindrops. Something wonderful appeared across the sky: a rainbow!

“We made that together,” said Pip, smiling. And from that day on, Pip never felt too small to help.
